Within a radious of only 20/30 km., one can visit the charming Riviera places (Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Lerici), the medieval castles and villages of Lunigiana, and the tuscan wonders of Carrara, with its marble quarries. Pisa, Lucca and Portofino are just 75 km. away. La Spezia, with important attractions such as the A. Lia Museum and the Maritime Museum, and Sarzana, a historical town with a pretty old quarter, forts dating from the middles ages and antique shops, are only 8 km. away.
